1. Allāh (God) says: "And whosoever fears Allāh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty) ... ; And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine ... " (Al-Qur'ān, 65:2-3)


2. Ibrāhīm ibn Bashār reported: Ibrāhīm ibn Adham, may Allāh have mercy on him, said, “If the kings and their sons knew what we experience of pleasure and happiness in Islām, they would fight us for it with their swords.” (al-Zuhd al-Kabīr lil-Bayhaqī 80)

عن إِبْرَاهِيم بْن بَشَّارٍ قال إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَدْهَمَ رحمه الله لَوْ عَلِمَ الْمُلُوكُ وَأَبْنَاءُ الْمُلُوكِ مَا نَحْنُ فِيهِ مِنَ النَّعِيمِ وَالسُّرُورِ لَجَالَدُونَا بِالسُّيُوفِ

It was also narrated by Ibn Maajah (4105) from Zayd ibn Thaabit, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “Whoever is focused only on this world, Allāh will confound his affairs and make him fear poverty constantly, and he will not get anything of this world except that which has been written for him. Whoever is focused on the Hereafter, Allāh will grant him peace of mind and make him feel content with his lot, and his provision and worldly gains will come to him regardless (of circumstances, obstacles or people).” (Sahīh (al-Albānī); https://islamqa.info/en/286430)


4. Tāriq ibn Shihāb reported: ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb, may Allāh be pleased with him, said, “Verily, we were a disgraceful people and Allāh honored us with Islām. If we seek honor from anything besides that with which Allāh honored us, Allāh will disgrace us.” (al-Mustadrak ‘alá al-Ṣaḥīḥayn 207, Sahīh (al-Albānī))

5. Allāh says: '...The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing).' (Al-Qur'ān, 3:185)


6. Narrated Mujāhid: `Abdullah bin `Umar said, "Allāh's Messenger (may Allāh grant him peace and blessings) took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveller." (Sahīh al-Bukhārī 6416)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَعْمَشِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُجَاهِدٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمَنْكِبِي فَقَالَ  " كُنْ فِي الدُّنْيَا كَأَنَّكَ غَرِيبٌ، أَوْ عَابِرُ سَبِيلٍ ". وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَمْسَيْتَ فَلاَ تَنْتَظِرِ الصَّبَاحَ، وَإِذَا أَصْبَحْتَ فَلاَ تَنْتَظِرِ الْمَسَاءَ، وَخُذْ مِنْ صِحَّتِكَ لِمَرَضِكَ، وَمِنْ حَيَاتِكَ لِمَوْتِكَ.



7. Allāh says: 'And keep yourself patiently with those who call on their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His Face, and let not your eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp and glitter of the life of the world; and obey not him whose heart We have made heedless of Our Remembrance, one who follows his own lusts and whose affair (deeds) has been lost.' (Al-Qur'ān, 18:28)


8. "As-Sa‘di (may Allāh have mercy on him) said: The siddeeqoon (the highest ranked category humans can attain after the Prophets) are those who reached the highest levels of faith, righteous deeds, beneficial knowledge and true certainty." 9. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allāh, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allāh does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2564)

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى صُوَرِكُمْ وَأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَأَعْمَالِكُمْ

10. Allāh says: 'So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers.' (Al-Qur'ān, 3:139)


11. Allāh says: 'Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs).' (Al-Qur'ān, 94:5)


12. "Allāh has made patience like a horse that never gets tired, an army that can never be defeated and a strong fortress that can never be breached. 13. Narrated `Āisha: Allāh's Messenger (may Allāh grant him peace and blessings) said "...the most beloved deed to Allāh is the most regular and constant even if it were little." (Sahīh al-Bukhārī 6464)


14. Ibn `Umar used to say, "if you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death." (Sahīh al-Bukhārī 6416)


15. 'Uthmān bin 'Affān reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best of you are those who learn the Qur'ān and teach it.” (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5027)

عَنْ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ

16. Anas ibn Mālik reported: The Messenger of Allāh, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allāh has His own people among humanity.” They said, “O Messenger of Allāh, who are they?” The Prophet said, “They are the people of the Qur'ān, the people of Allāh and His chosen (closest) ones.” (Sunan Ibn Mājah 215, Sahīh (al-Albānī))

17. Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Wealth is not in having many possessions. Rather, true wealth is the contentment of the soul.” (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6446, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1051)

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ وَلَكِنَّ الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ

18. ‘Ubaydu(A)llah ibn Mihsan reported: The Messenger of Allāh, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever among you wakes up secure in his property, healthy in his body, and he has his food for the day, it is as if he were given the entire world.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2346; Hasan (al-Tirmidhī))

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مِحْصَنٍ الْخَطْمِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَصْبَحَ مِنْكُمْ آمِنًا فِي سِرْبِهِ مُعَافًى فِي جَسَدِهِ عِنْدَهُ قُوتُ يَوْمِهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا حِيزَتْ لَهُ الدُّنْيَا

19. Narrated Abu Huraira: that the Messenger of Allāh (may Allāh grant him peace and blessings) said: "Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allāh makes the path to Paradise easy for him." (Jāmi` at-Tirmidhī 2646, Sahīh; https://sunnah.com/tirmidhi:2646)

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم  " مَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .



20. Al-Mustawrid reported: The Messenger of Allāh, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “What is the parable of this worldly life, in comparison to the Hereafter, but one of you dipping his finger in the sea? Let him see what he brings forth.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2858)

عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مَثَلُ الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا مَثَلُ مَا يَجْعَلُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِصْبَعَهُ فِي الْيَمِّ فَلْيَنْظُرْ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ

21. Narrated Masrūq: 'Abdullah bin 'Amr mentioned Allah's Messenger (may Allāh grant him peace and blessings) saying that he was neither a Fāhish nor a Mutafahhish. 'Abdullah bin 'Amr added, Allāh's Messenger (may Allāh grant him peace and blessings) said, 'The best among you are those who have the best manners and character.' حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، سَمِعْتُ مَسْرُوقًا، قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو.حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ دَخَلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو حِينَ قَدِمَ مَعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ إِلَى الْكُوفَةِ فَذَكَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ فَاحِشًا وَلاَ مُتَفَحِّشًا، وَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم  " إِنَّ مِنْ أَخْيَرِكُمْ أَحْسَنَكُمْ خُلُقًا ".



22. Abū Umāmah Al-Bāhilī (may Allāh be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allāh (may Allāh grant him peace and blessings) said, "I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if he is in the right; and I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners." (Riyād as-Sālihīn 629, Abū Dāwūd, Sahīh)

وعن أبى أمامه الباهلى رضي الله عنه قال:  قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:  “أنا زعيم ببيت في ربض الجنة لمن ترك المراء، وإن كان محقاً، وببيت في وسط الجنة لمن ترك الكذب، وإن كان مازحاً، وببيت في أعلى الجنة لمن حسن خلقه” ((حديث صحيح رواه أبو داود بإسناد صحيح)).



23. 'Āisha reported: The Messenger of Allāh, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best of you are the best to their families, and I am the best to my family...” (Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3895; Sahīh (al-Tirmidhī))

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُكُمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِهِ وَأَنَا خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِي وَإِذَا مَاتَ صَاحِبُكُمْ فَدَعُوهُ

24. Allāh says: 'And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' (Al-Qur'ān, 14:7)


25. Narrated `Āisha: Allāh's Messenger (may Allāh grant him peace and blessings) said, "Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately..." (Sahīh al-Bukhārī 6464)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ  " سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا، وَاعْلَمُوا أَنْ لَنْ يُدْخِلَ أَحَدَكُمْ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَأَنَّ أَحَبَّ الأَعْمَالِ أَدْوَمُهَا إِلَى اللَّهِ، وَإِنْ قَلَّ "



26. Ibn 'Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most beloved people to Allāh are those who are most beneficial to people. The most beloved deed to Allāh is to make a Muslim happy, or remove one of his troubles, or forgive his debt, or feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this Masjid in Madīna for a month. Whoever swallows his anger, then Allāh will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfill his anger if he wished, then Allāh will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allāh Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken.” (al-Mu’jam al-Awsaṭ lil-Ṭabarānī 6026, Sahīh (al-Albānī))

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَى اللَّهِ أَنْفَعُهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ وَأَحَبُّ الأَعْمَالِ إِلَى اللَّهِ سُرُورٌ تُدْخِلُهُ عَلَى مُسْلِمٍ أَوْ تَكْشِفُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً أَوْ تَقْضِي عَنْهُ دِينًا أَوْ تَطْرُدُ عَنْهُ جُوعًا وَلَأَنْ أَمْشِيَ مَعَ أَخٍ لِي فِي حَاجَةٍ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَعْتَكِفَ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ يَعْنِي مَسْجِدَ الْمَدِينَةِ شَهْرًا وَمَنْ كَفَّ غَضَبَهُ سَتَرَ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ وَمَنْ كَظَمَ غَيْظَهُ وَلَوْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُمْضِيَهُ أَمْضَاهُ مَلأَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَلْبَهُ أَمْنًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ مَشَى مَعَ أَخِيهِ فِي حَاجَةٍ حَتَّى أَثْبَتَهَا لَهُ أَثْبَتَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدَمَهُ عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ يَوْمَ تَزِلُّ فِيهِ الأَقْدَامُ
